When I started Taylor Paige Integrative Skincare, my goal was to create a different kind of facial than we were used to.
I wanted more than the average spa facial; I wanted both relaxing and informative.
I've always loved science - I love when things make sense! And believe that when you understand the basics of skin function, that you’ll be so much more inspired to take care of it. I want everyone to be excited about taking care of their skin & body!
It took years for my ‘signature’ facial to become what it is today. And it’s ever-evolving. Because with every new face that lays in front of me, Ive learned something new and evolved as an aesthetician.
In addition to working with my hands, I take pride in utilizing the most innovative technology. In 2017, I became Santa Barbara’s first HydraFacial® specialist and since then, I have introduced several new modalities to the SB area.
The word Integrative was very intentional. As much as I love the machines and serums/creams, my job goes far beyond that. My interest in health and wellness started years ago in the treatment room. I was seeing hundreds of people with inflammatory skin conditions. And I learned very quickly that skin health is intimately connected to what’s happening inside the body. The truth is: you simply cannot address the root cause of skin concerns with topicals and treatments alone.
In 2022, my team and I began schooling through the Institute for Integrative Nutrition. After graduating in 2023, we’re proud to say that we are the only skin clinic in Santa Barbara with this type of training. I believe that inner balance = out beauty. In fact, I feel so strongly about this that having a background in functional health is now a requirement in order to be a facialist at Taylor Paige Integrative Skincare.
Becoming a health coach was the catalyst for an even bigger step in my career. In 2025, I went back to school to become a Functional Diagnostic Nutrition Practitioner (FDN-P). This training will allow me to run all kinds of functional lab tests on my clients. With diagnostic testing and proper protocols, my goal is to uncover root cause of inflammatory skin conditions.
My newest endeavor, The Functional Skin Reset, was created to bridge the gap between what we see on the outside and whats happening on the inside. I have big plans to grow this branch of the business and I’m deeply grateful for the support of my team as I embark on this endeavor.
While I don’t plan to leave the treatment room entirely, it’s been bittersweet to know that giving facials is becoming much less of what I do on the day-to-day. But I know that my years of giving facials and studying the skin up close will make me an asset to the functional medicine community because I have seen first hand the implications of internal dis-ease on skin health. The world is full of great aestheticians and great health practitioners. I am eager to be one of the first to truly bring the two industries together.
My success has been built almost solely on referrals. My clients trust me and want their friends to come see me, and at the end of the day there is no bigger compliment. I’ve had the pleasure of touching so many beautiful faces in our sweet little Santa Barbara community. I get to make people feel good, and I’ve made countless friendships while doing it! I truly have my dream job.
